These suggested specifications for our pre-engineered and prefabricated Steel Detention Cells ensure a quality product that either meets or exceeds national code standards and are primary based upon today's available performance standards for correctional environments.

Keep in mind that we use only galvannealed sheet in production. Galvannealed sheet is carbon steel sheet that has been coated with zinc on both sides by the continuous hot dip process. Immediately as the strip is removed from the coating bath, the zinc coating receives an in-line heat treatment that converts the entire coating to a zinc-iron alloy. Its finish is suitable for painting as shipped. Other advantages to the zinc-iron alloy coating are enhanced welding and more resistance to scratching and manufacturing damage.
